Once upon a time,
far away, there was a small village where everyone lived happily ever after, everyone loved and helped each other. One day, however, the tranquility of this people was shattered by the arrival of two giants so arrogant that the entire population decided to leave for another land. But it was so difficult to abandon their homes that they came up with a wonderful idea: to build a gigantic hot air balloon where they could transport the entire village. And so it was that, taking advantage of a moment of weakness of the two giants, they loaded everything up and left, flying so far away that no one was ever able to find them again. It would be so nice, every time a problem arises, to be able to leave and escape far from any worries! Unfortunately, this is not always possible, but in our dreams, in our imagination, there are no limits, and these drawings have the power to make us dream, for a moment.
Alessandro Pantani's work on hot air balloons seems to have been born from the exclusive pleasure of creating a corner of the world where everyone would like to live and where an idyllic atmosphere brings us back to distant romantic dreams.
