Once upon a time there was a beautiful kingdom, ruled by the splendid King Reginaldo and the sweet Queen Tecla. The King and Queen had a daughter, beautiful, with hair the color of gold, eyes green as emeralds, skin white as the moon and, a very strange thing, a small birthmark in the shape of a star on her right shoulder. The happiness of Reginaldo and Tecla, however, aroused the envy of the witch Arcigna, and it was for this reason that the witch kidnapped the child, to abandon her in the deepest part of the forest. The little girl was searched for far and wide, but was never found, plunging the entire kingdom into sadness. In the forest lived a good woman named Clara, who had been widowed and lived alone. One day, while walking, Clara found the little girl and fell so much in love with her that she decided to take her in and raise her as a daughter and, not knowing what name to give her, called her Stella, because of that star-shaped birthmark on her shoulder. Stella became a splendid young woman, of such rare beauty, that she once again aroused the anger of the Witch Arcigna, who wanted to cast a spell on her, turning her into a stone statue. When Clara did not see Stella return home,   she immediately ran to look for her and, learning what had happened, collapsed, giving in to desperate tears. Suddenly, from behind a bush, came a sweet tinkling of bells and a very sweet voice that said: "Who is crying?" It was Nanetta Stucchevolina, the good fairy of the woods. Clara asked her to help break the spell cast by the witch Arcigna. "Of course I will help you, dear Clara," said Nanetta, "but you will have to pass a very important test: to break the spell, I need all the magic of the shooting stars. If you can find the place where the stars have ended up and bring them to me, then the spell will be broken." "Why the stars?" asked Clara. Nanetta replied: "Because in the stars is contained a great power, which comes from the wishes, dreams, and prayers of people all over the world." So Clara set out on her journey, with her little cart, and traveled over seas and lands, facing many difficulties, but in the end she managed to find the place of the shooting stars and, after collecting them all, brought them to Nanetta Stucchevolina. But Nanetta was no longer there,  in her place she found Stella, more beautiful and radiant than ever. Meanwhile, the King and Queen, having heard of this story, wanted to meet Clara, thus discovering with great happiness that Stella was their daughter. How did they realize? Because of that birthmark on her shoulder, precisely, in the shape of a star.

Of course, it's needless to say "and they all lived happily ever after"
